I believe courtesyparts has it, as well when you get it, other members on this site had slapped on black gooey silicone on the metal parts prior to install to preserve it so that it wouldnt rust again.

get a piece of metal that is slightly larger then the hole, weld it from inside out, sand it down fill it with bondo and flatten it all out. good to go.

edit :: how big are the holes are we talking? and how bad are the rest spots? if we're talking like small lil rust holes. sand it and see how it goes, if its surface rust leave it at that and fill,reprime/paint. if it crumbles and gets huge, pull out a torch and cut out the rust spots and reweld a similar size piece and bondo it up.

Of course that is what I would do/have done on rust jobs. Open to critism and other options.

s*** forgot to say that i don't know how to weld/don't have a welder and i don't really want to spend a fortune on this because my current situation.... so that makes the question i asked above a little more relevant. I already went to a few shops to ask how much work like this costs to do and noone quoted me under seven hundred for one door...

and also could you guys help me picking out which part it is... The part I am looking for is the one for my driver side rear door on the bottom of the main window that rolls up and down. I have a 2001 qx4. I'm thinking it's the figure on the bottom number 82821 but i've been wrong before and don't just want to go and waste money

http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder ... _4860.html

and will other parts numbered 82821 work even though they're made for other cars?

[82821] MOULDING-REAR DOOR OUTSIDE,LH

Is what you want. I don't think others would fit. I replaced them all on my 95 pathy and the only ones that would fit were pathy ones and they weren't cheap from nissan

ouch.... i would definitely have to say weld and grind is needed... however.... is the area around it crumbling? or still surface rusting?

seeing as that area is used to hold the strip... it would be tricky to get the weld and grind just right without affecting anything else.

i would fill the bottom portion "_ " of the right angle and leave it at that. scuff down the rust on the " | " portion and put some por 15 or something...

So i was thinking about going to the local junkyard to see if they have any doors for my 2001 qx4.... can i use any R50 door or does it have to be qx4s? or does it have to be exclusive to my year? can i use other years of pathfinders/qx4s? which ones? i realize that if i use a pathfinder door it won't be the same but as long as it fits and there's no rust it's all good
