No thanks, buddy.2006 Infiniti M45 does not need to be modified air intake or intake systemWeapon-R guys need to understand that these are not Honda civic or Acura Integra. M's are competing with BMW 5series and MB E-Class catagories.

I'm sure most of M45 owners will agree with me that 335 HP is quite enough to scare Bimmers and even Corvettes.

I wouldnt complain about a free air intake...

Be interesting to see dyno charts to see what it actually does

Not sure I agree, although it does seem that Weapon-r are not typically playing in the LPS league. There are quite a few mods available for 5-series, and firms like Renntech are well-entrenched in the MB mod market.

I'm not averse to intake or exhaust bolt-ons for my M45, if they offer some substantive performance kick and don't require modifying other parts to fit. From what I've seen on other forums, I don't believe I'm alone here...

That being said, I'm nowhere near Northern CA, and I'd need to know a lot more about Weapon-r quality / durability / etc. before I'd buy.

Point. Hence my question: any prior history on other cars available to show here?

I have a 2003 M45, but I tend to keep my cars stock (as well maintained as I can though! ), so I'd like to know what is the likely situation here before I would be willing to experiment.

Lighten up! And speak for yourself when you say, “the M45 doesn’t need modifying” Keep in mind that Mercedes has Renntech (sp), AMG, Kleeman, Brabus, Lorinser, etc.. & BMW has the M group & Dinan, etc… all of these groups do amazing aftermarket work and have the data to prove it. I’d love to see the dyno results after the weapon R install.

Amen.

Hell, a simple 5-minute intake mod on the G35 netted 6 hp at the wheels!

There's always room for improvement - the question is, At What Cost?

The M45 could be a little faster IMO..... Just fast enough to be even more dangerous..

According to the web site below, it is already available for the 05+ M’s, but nothing for the 03-04 M’s

Sure...send me one. I just clocked 36K and i've been whining about it not being fast enough anymore. I looked at a Supercharger for it, but they want $10K....ouch...so lets do an intake for starters.

I would like an intake for the car but imagine how it would look in our engine compartment. Imagine a shiny colored(blue, red, chrome, etc.) pipe in your engine compartment, I just cant see it.
