weapon r header

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Hi I'm looking into putting in a performance header in my 2001 Nissan Sentra SE. I'm looking for an affordable, yet powerful header that'll last for a long time. Does anyone recommend or have any review of the weapon-r header for my '01 sentra 2.0L?

Go with the SSAutochrome. It's got the best bang-for-your-buck factor out right now.

Are you sure that it'll fit on my 2001 SE? because i've bought something that hasn't fit properly and as you could imagine that was a huge headache that i do not want again.

It's listed as an application and I know many 00-01 SE owners have them. I've been pondering getting one myself, just hasn't been the right time.

I looked at that SSautochrome site and I saw the STONE header for the Spec V. Would that be a qulity investment? Or would it be more prudent to go with a Weapon-R or even the vastly overpriced NISMO header...

The SSAC for the Spec is good too.

ive been reading on the ssautochrome header and supposedly it is made out of two different metals and is likely to crack. a lot of people do not recommend them due to this issue and they way that they're built so i might just go with the weapon-r header, let me know if u know of any other companies that make headers for the '01 Sentra SE.

Older SSAC ones that may be the case, but I haven't heard any complaints about the new ones. They did have serious quality issues a few years ago.

Regardless, OBX makes one, though you'll need a midpipe fabbed up or have to find one some other way. You may be able to find a used Hotshot, but it's ceramic-coated mild steel and is liable to rust.

IMO the Weapon R is awfully expensive. That's about as much as the Hotshot was and it's a copy (at least in terms of the header itself, the 2-1 midpipe design is something Hotshot didn't use). It looks like a good product, so whatever floats your boat.

header question i was lookin at the obx headers and i saw that they have one set for the 00-01 sr20de sentras and one for the 91-99 sr20de sentra what is the difference? is there a difference? will the ones for the 91-99 work on my 01 se? also will i still pass emission over here in ct with a set of obx headers?

They should be the same. 91-94's need fewer bungs, but 95+ they all need the same connections.

To be sure you could contact OBX or check the part # if it's listed.

I looked at a few sites, and weapon R was the most expensive. Good find on SSAC. Damn with those prices I would of bought a header for my G20 in a heartbeat.

I'm really surprised that Stillen does not make a header for that model(though it would be overpriced like W-R)
