Word of advice, most BC pistons are repackaged Manley products. Get the cheapest ones you can find.

BC will have better support if your installing yourself though.

I've got CP pistons and Eagle Rods combo and i feel like my motor is bullit proof. I even took apart the bottom end with about 6000 miles on the motor and my bearings looked as if they had not even been broken in. Also try checking out AMS rods I do hear alot of hype about those.

I got the AMS H-Beam rods and Arias pistons. Assembled them myself. The little spiral clips on the wrist pins can be a bit tricky though..

I'd say I got 10-12k on my motor. Running at least 12psi at all times. Upwards of 24-28 sometimes.

Just some personal experience. I think I paid 850 or so..? Not a bad deal I don't think. Got my bearings from AMS too. I just wish they gave a shat' about the KA crowd still..

EZ, AMS is producing the bottom mount turbo manifold again. Being sold per sale 100 dollars cheaper than they did in our GB, so idk they might be trying to get back into the game a bit. I will still never deal with AMS again or recommend them to anyone, just tossing it out there. It is a nice manifold.

Crower rods and CP pistons. Iv had both JE and CP pistons, CP are higher quality IMO and designed better than JE pistons.

But for your setup id go with Eagle rods and whatever forged pistons you can find for cheap. So many good deals going around right now, just follow the classifieds and keep 600 or so in a checking account ready to go when the deal comes through. Recession prices ftmfw.

Ross/CP and Pauter...

In the Ross vs CP equation I'd buy what was cheaper since both are excellent choices.

i saw a show on eagle rods and they had one in a high horse power drag car. and it hydro locked some how and all it did was bent the rod. the replaced the rod and piston and honed the cylinder and they were good to go. also i have used wisco pistons for years in my motorcycles and they are always top quality.. im going with wisco/eagle setup!!

Eagle rods work great and are rather inexpensive. Other "econo" H beam rods work well too but are more money. Don't get those just because you think more money equals a better product. In most cases that's true but Eagle still top notch.

Eagle/CP gets my vote.

For High HP, what about the BC Pro rods? Supposed to be 1000hp capable and only cost 530...?

Seems like forged pistons hold the power easy, so whatever brand you can get the cheapest...

Not trying to thread jack but has anyone delt with Atomic speedware? I have been saving up (only copper instead of green now days) to build a KA from bottem up and was looking at getting my parts from one company so I dont have to keep track of who I buy what from if I have any problems. Are they friendly, have good support, willing to work with ya? Any info would be great.

don't know anything about them but i got every thing i needed from "import performance parts" good price and no problems. they have a lot to offer. any way, a "one stop shop" for you to check out.

now for this to not be a thread jack I went with pauter rods / wiseco pistons.

eagle rods with JE pistons eagle rods with arias pistons

best bang for the buck is most definitely the eagle rods. wish i had them when i popped my ka. 462rwhp on dynodynamics on stock rods... could only end in catastrophic failure.
