Weak E-Brake

Every since i have had this car the e-brake is very weird. I could pull the e-brake while driving and it wont slow me down for s***. At the same time i could be parked on a hill and it will hold me fine. Any ideas as to why it is acting this way?

because you probably need to tighten (adjust) it... theres a big differenfe from holding a car that has no moving momentum compared to holding a 1.5 tons while driving

Yea, I'm gonna tighten the bolt up tomorrow. Hopefully thats it.

If it makes you feel any more confident, I did it to my car and it helped it out quite a bit.

what happened to me when i found out it wasn't a weak E-brake, it was worn out rear brake pads... soo check them out as well

try pushing in the clutch too. my car can not lock up the rear with the clutch out.
