way under sticker. Well below "invoice" too! The car MSRP was $42,905 and the invoice (not including the special dealer incentives they get, of course) is $38,877 ($38272 for the car, $545 for dealer prep, $60 for the trunk mats) according to Edmunds.
If you all don't mind, I'd rather not publicly talk about what we did end up paying, but let's just say that it was less than what many people here have posted about paying for their G35 Coupes (and not loaded ones either!) That is why we went for the M45 rather than the G35 that we thought we would get when we went in the dealers door.
I'd rather have a bare-bones M45 than a loaded G35 ... I love powerful, 8 cylinder, high-performance, sporty sedans!
Like I said, I think that Infiniti dealers are motivated to sell the M45's they have on the lot, because (a) there is a replacement model coming out soon I believe, and (b) the M45 is not selling and they are taking a bath on the continuing costs of keeping them on the lot. I would be willing to bet that my M45 sat on their lot for many months (did not bother me - I will replace tires soon anyway!) as the date of manufacture shows as October 1992. I think that they took a loss rather than keep it any more.
