We're taking on water!

I've got an 87 and any time its wet outside water gets into the spare tire hole and into the area for the jack and tools. Are there any common places that begin to leak that i should look at first?

probably coming from your hatch/trunk area.

If you really want to find the leaks, just remove any interior you have, sit in the car, and have someone run a hose all over the back of the car while you track where the leak is from.

common source for leaks are the rear quarter windows and the tail lights.

to fix, pull out the offending piece, clean off the old sealant, reseal.

be sure to pull out the tool tray insert to let it dry completely to prevetn rust, I'd strongly suspect the quarter window seals as well, but you need to find and fix the leak or you'll have major rust issues in no time
