We picked up our EX35 today...

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Black Leather.

We wanted something that was relativly care-free.

The Stone color was different, but the Demo Car had lots of scuffs on the Door Sill and it looked bad.

We didn't care for the Brown Leather, either... it was just too weird for our liking.

I think to complete it... the back Windows need to be tinted.

It's fully loaded and has all the Bells and Whistles !

Congrats. I live in Edmonton too and I am interested in the EX-35. Were you able to knock any money off the MSRP?

Yes, we did... we got a lot extra's thrown in too, including the upcharge for the Pearl Paint.

I had to sell our old Car privately in the Bargain Finder, as they were going to give me squat as a trade-in. They told us our 2005 300C would go straight to the Auction Yard as they did not want it on their Lot. No Domestics. Once we decided that we were going to get an EX35, we put the 300C up for Sale and it sold the day before we picked up the EX35. So that was good timing, huh ? We started the whole thing about 3 weeks ago and it concluded on Thursday, with us picking it up.

There's still a difference between the USA and Canada when it comes to these things. Infiniti's come over the Border to Canada with a Warranty, but Nissans do not. When cost comparing, be sure to add the 6.1 % Excise Tax too.

You might want to look into Cross-Border shopping and see if it's right for you. Edmonton and Calgary have a deal going that they will not undersell each other... as Calgary is the next closest Infiniti Dealer to Erickson here, in Edmonton.

I told the staff at Erickson, I didn't like the fact that they were the only game in Town for Infiniti's... and to that, they said... cause they are the best and nobody does it better then them. Their level of service is better than any GM or Chrysler Dealership I've been to in the last little while.

They also said to us that a fully Loaded EX35 is cheaper than a fully Loaded Nissan Murano. However, I think the Murano should be in the same class as the upcoming FX35 due out in August/08

The EX35 is a little shorter than the FX35 and offers NO legroom for tall guys like me. The good thing is... I don't plan on ever riding in the Back, anyways ! If you need more Rear legroom, then I suggest you wait for the new FX35

I think the EX35 is a nice Car than the Murano is. The level of service is better too. We went to the Sherwood Park Nissan Dealership and they turned us off buying from them. Then we went up the food-chain to see what was there.

Erickson Infiniti was a first-class act. There are only 4 Salesman's that sell Infiniti's and Mike was the guy we talked to.

We took the Demo Car out for a drive 3 times, the last one being on Tuesday of this Week. I planted it into some Snow Drifts cause I wanted to see how well it would dig itself out... it was no problem.

My Wife absolutely loves this Car...

This is the Snow we got last weekend and the 300C was parked through it all, as we knew it would get stuck if we took it out. Almost coincidently too, Gas Prices went up, big time, the day we bought the EX35... and the 300C had a HEMI in it... so it made the decision to buy, that much more easier.

There was no Snow on our Lawn Furniture a week ago and we got almost a Foot of snow in 3 days, this past Weekend.

Yeah that road runs behind Telus Plaza.

That's great that you love your new SUV so much. I agree that the Murano is not in the same class as the EX-35. EX-35 would be in the same size as the rogue although the EX is probably a bit longer.

I am also not impressed how Hyatt and Ericsson won't undersell each other. Maybe I should look towards BC to see what I can get.

Right now I am deciding on whether i want to buy the G35x or the EX-35. Did you get the nav pacakage also? What does Welcome Lighting do?

Yes, we got the NAV package. It has a bigger Manual than the one for the rest of the Car.

We had a Chrysler 300C before and it had a pretty crappy NAV unit in it. Lately, Mopar has been getting a bad rap for their crappy Navigation Software and rightfully so... it is CRAP !

The Voice Commands for the NAV seems to work really well. I just wish you could tell the "lady" to skip her comments everytime you tell it to do something. It could say just "OK" instead.

I think this Car can only be bought with ALL the toys on it. It has Xenon Headlights that turn and look around the corner, as you turn the Steering Wheel that way.

My Wife loves all the Camera's. Here's the Front-end Camera, located in the Grill Logo...

Here's the Side Camera located under the Side Mirrors...

I washed it tonight... probably a waste of time, but oh well...

Stay tuned for more pictures...

The Welcome Lighting feature just turns on a few of the Exterior Lights and Interior Lights as you walk up to the Car.

This is a feature that can be turned off and on.

I just found out today, that my QuadraSteer Sierra Denali still turns a tighter Circle than the EX35.

My Truck turns in 31 Feet and the EX35 in 36 Feet.

I'm still pretty impressed with my SD, but it's looking kind of outdated with all the Technology that's in the EX35.

The tiny turning radius on the RWD EX, along with the AVM, is what really sold me, but I understand the AWD, which is what I assume you would have bought up there in Alberta, does significantly boost the radius. I had originally planned to order the AWD, but changed my mind at the last minute for that very reason, among others.

I wish one of you many Alberta EX-ers would take it up to Banff & Jasper for some pics. (How about in front of Columbia Ice Fields!)
