Ok, almost a year ago I started my projector retrofit but because of obligations they kept getting put off, well, over time I came up with better and better ideas, over breaks I chipped away at it. Finally have some good progress!!! I can tell you that by the time I finish them they will be nothing like you've ever seen, PERIOD!!! So enough said, heres a few pics After I finished the shrouds!I I will tell you this though, The time I have to work on them is periodic, it'll be a while before theyr finished! But in the meantime, ENJOY :woot: !!

Vinyl on the shrouds? Or paint? Looks like it could be vinyl.

Also looks like you painted the housing silver? The Coupe is silver?

Common, you think I would use vinyl :nono: ?? No, It's painted, They are custom made colors for my car, Nissan silver (color of my car), and Nissan super Black. The shrouds were not a quick or simple job either! Spent the whole day doing them pratically . Going to polish them, Then they will really shine lol.

Think you could take a few more pics of the actual mounting of the projector itself? I was always curious what kind of cutting (if any) was needed to get them mounted in there properly. I always thought they had a flat back with 4 point mounting and never knew how they would mount into a curved reflector bowl.

Full projector retro write up for hero status!

depends on the projectors you get and where the mounting flanges are. Some mounting flanges are really far up thus you need to take more material out to have them sit right. Problem is once you get them seated, the trick is to mount them correctly so they can be adjusted.

To the OP..Nice work. Those min gatling and the Gatling V2 shrouds work nicely together! :dblthumb:

BTW..what kind of projectors are you using?

Thanks! yah, i wanted to be a lil different, every retrofit I've seen uses the same shrouds, I thought it would look better if I mixed it a lil. The lights are alread aligned, All I have to do now is touch up the reflector and paint it. I'm using the morrimoto bi-xenon projectors with the upgraded 6000k HID's!
