I think that would be the right place to start - it seems to match your symptoms. The bogging indicates a lean condition. There actually is a training manual for a 1992 in the service manual section here for you to look at:

There is enough detail in the manual so you can test your TPS and see if it is bad.
Another possibility is the "Air regulator" discussed at page 19 of the manual. That has a metallic strip in it which heats up as the engine warms up. It provides extra air for fast idle when cold, then closes when the engine is warm. If that is broken, it will be an air leak causing a lean condition when the engine has warmed up. I am not familiar with that valve - if you can close off the air supply to the engine from that valve after warmup, it may help see if that is part of your problem.
The AAC valve seems to be idle air regulation. That seems to be ok from your description of the problem.
The above assumes your check engine light comes on when you turn the ignition switch to "on" so you know the bulb works, and that it is not indicating a problem itself.
Further down in the manual are instructions to get the ecu into troubleshooting modes.
Other stuff - since the car is new to you, I would probably do a fuel filter just to be sure there is no problem there, and clean the maf!
