I put a supra fuel pump (cosmo pump.....little more flow than a walbro 255)on my 240sx turbo along with a greddy type s bov and iridium plugs tonight and now my car is running hella rich. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem? I recirculated the bov. still rough idle and rich. But when I get on the throttle it runs awesome. I dont know....Any ideas anybody?

a friend of mine has a sr, when he installed his walbro 255 it upped his fuel pressure more then stock, enough to throw him way rich, he invested in a adjustable FPR with a built in fp gauge to correct the problem. You say that the supra fuel pump flows a lil more then the walbro, so maybe you are having the same problem with the higher volume pump increasing your fuel pressure.

thats probably what I need to do. What should I set the pressure to when I get the adjustable fpr?

strawberry banana.

or any other kind. look on ebay, as long as they are generic and have a litte gauge built in, they are fine. W.out gauge it's more of a PIA.

i bet it has more to do with the 12:1 fmu. do you have a wideband to tell what the a/f ratios are like??

Get a nismo FPR for like 100 bucks, a cheap gauge (or borrow one) and set it to 43psi w/o vaccuum. When you connect the vaccuum it should drop to 35psi.

You can, it's just retarded. Spend the extra $100 for the safety of your engine. High flow fuel pump = rich at idle and lean under boost--both suck.

my stock fpr is working just fine with a 255lph.idled in the high 14's and at wot dropped into the 12's when i was running the stock computer.

did you happen to install injectors at the same time? sounds like some leaking o-rings.

Boost Designs has a regulator with built in gauge for a really good price.

The 12/1 FMU wouldn't change the fuel flow until you were on boost, so no effect at idle.

With an adjustable, you can mess with you AF's buy increasing or decreasing the base pressure. So lean it out and you'll have more power off of boost, and the 12/1 FMU will add more then enough fuel once boost kicks in. I would go with a 10/1 myself.

I switched the SR injector O rings to the stock KA O rings to make it fit...could that had lead to a leak? it didnt seem to fit when I had the SR injectors no matter how much strength I put into it

the 270cc and 370cc injector o-rings should be the same. 3 of my injectors are using the sr rings and the other the ka rings. did you lube the o-rings before you seated them in the rail? mine all popped in with just a little bit of force.

Always lube your injectors before you drop them in. Its a very good rule to follow. Even if they pop right in, you can never be too careful.
