Hey everyone, i just got my 240sx up and running after having it sit in my driveway for almost 2 months. There is a long story behind that but thats not what i wanted to talk about. My brakes just went and i was going to just replace the pads but i'm think about just gettting the 300zx upgrade. I found a pair of turbo calipers at the junk yard for 150 and 300zx rotors for 25 a peace. The problem is i dont know if i need to drill a hole in the rotors for them to fit, are if i need to get to turbo or non turbo rotors. Also it seems that there are two kinds of 300zx rotors those made in the first half of 1990 and those made in the second half, which one is better. Lol and umm...i just got some Tein S.tech springs are they any good are should i return them?

Go to the "suspension/braking" section of NICO. They will have all the answers to your questions. I could answer them for you, but its late and I'm tired.

It's late, but I've had a few nice naps today, so I'll try to answer a few of your questions. ;-)

Regardless of the 300ZX model the brakes came from, assuming it is a Z32 model, they will be 5-lug, and your 240SX is 4-lug, meaning that the 300ZX rotors would need to be redrilled with a 4-lug pattern before they could be reused.

Also, IIRC, in 1992, Nissan changed the caliper material from aluminum to cast iron, due to warpage issues. TT calipers are 30 mm from 1990-1992, and all other Z32 models are 26 mm. Hope that helps . . .
