I haven't washed my car but once since I've owned it....mainly laziness, but my sunroof also leaks like a 50 cent water gun, which from all my experience with a 50 cent water gun is that they leak really bad

edit: anything from Mother's or Mecguires(?) rocks though from my experience

well.. do Japanese paints require something different than American?

I heard that waxes scratch Nissan paint and it will eventually dull it.

Not scrath it like a key, but microscopic scratches that just dull the cheap nissan paints.

no. Mother's Carnuba wax (the solid, not the liquid) does WONDERS for my car... and this light blue color of mine isnt even something that's supposed to shine up with wax (like black is).

I've found that looking at my car harshly scratches the paint. Not sure about newer cars, but '90's Nissans don't have the most durable paint jobs.

Anyway, I've used a whole bunch of different Meguiars products, from the three stage to single stage stuff, and it's all been pretty good.

I don't really wax my car on a schedule, but it probably works out to be once every three months, weather permitting. I'll wax my car this fall and then try to get some fresh wax on my car right before winter sets in.

Nu-finish blows. Too many solvents for my preference.

First--Wash with conditiong auto sampoo from Pinnacale--$15.00 12oz bottle-- best stuff I have ever used

Next --Clay bar and lubicant from Pinnacale $50.00 and $20.00 each-- Meguirs also has a clay bar , but is sucks

Twice a year lay down a coat of silicon sealer. I like Race Glaze...12oz $20

Two coats of pure Carnuba wax... I like Mirage... 4oz $125... It will last you 10 years so buy it.. The stuff is awesome!

Last step-- spray Mirage Finishing mist and buff it out. 8oz $30... but come in a really cool stailess steel spay bottle... very cool

Do this and you will win the show... kick a** all over the Meguires guys.
