I need help guy!!!

My water pump went a couple of months ago, I replaced it along with the thermostat and belts. Car ran well for about 2-3 weeks then the waterpump began leaking again. Took it back the the shop and yelled at the guy about it, he fixed it and everything was fine. Now again, the water pump began to leak so i brought it back and it is in the shop again.

What I am noticing is that the antifreeze gets to a point where it stops to circulate, I am hearing water swooshing around, and that is what is causing the pump to leak. Besides the question to "does anyone know why this is happening?". The other question I have is does this have anything to do with the HVAC. Reason why I ask that is because this problem has not occurred until I started to use the heat in my car. The heat is working fine, but the HVAC controller is not lighting up. Knowing that could just be a bulb or lighting issues, just trying to really figure this out. I love my car and do want to get to the point I want to get rid of it. But do not want to keep bringing it to the shop either.

So can some please help me out here!!

So you are saying that it gets so low on coolant so it stops circulating and you are wondering why it keeps getting low on coolant?

One normally uses a pressure tester pump/gauge to over pressure a cold engine to find the leaks.

Did you use a new Nissan from dealer pump or a usually defective aftermarket pump?

Condition of aftermarket under plenum hoses?

Only owners and untrained mechanics can usually destroy Nissan engineers work.

The coolant never gets low and then the pump leaks for one.

The car will run fine then all of a sudden I will begin to hear water up behind the dash like the pump is not cirrculating and then the pump will start to leak. I do not know if any air test was done, but it is a aftermarket water pump. I just wouldn't think that an aftermarket pump is that bad that they would break in a couple of weeks.

It is important to make sure that the leak is coming from the pump itself as there are several joints near the pump which can be producing intermittent leaks. I had a bit of a similar problem with the thermostat housing which was very hard to spot. Have you added florescent dye to confirm a pump leak?

Aftermarket everything on a Q45 is always seriously IFFY.Over 12 years we have tried everything available to try to lower customers bills...................everything aftermarket we've used has bitten us in the *** and required OEM Replacement as our expense.

We gave up long ago with water pumps, alternators, ac compressors, master cylinders, spark plugs, coils, belts, bulbs.....................we still give customers a choice on radiaters and a few items non of which are available at national chain stores.

If the water pump is leaking from the weep hole you can be assured it is a reman with a cheap Chinese seal!

My 94 Q often has a gurgle water sound behind the dash. I've never understood it.

Generally caused by air in system caused by low coolant level due to slow leak in system{under plenum water hoses}
