Waterless car wash

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Has anyone used waterless way to wash a car? My EX is black, so I don't want to wash it with water and soap too often.

There's a reason the pros don't use it...

I've tried it. Didn't like it.

There's no reason to avoid washing with soap and water, though. Keep in mind, if it's good enough for a million-dollar car, it's good enough for your EX.

Use soft water and a professional-grade car wash product. And given that it's a black car, wash in the shade.

Never used Waterless car wash, but I LOVE Meguiars Quick Detailer Spray used with a microfiber towel and a California Car Duster... That and wiping down my rims keeps my car immaculate.

And 2-3 car washes a week dosen't hurt.

what do you have against washing your car with water? if you worried about Ca spots on your car then you can use distilled water or better yet DI water to clean it.

I'd find a coin-op DIY wash place with the high-pressure wands...

I love those places.

On the cleaning subject, has anyone tried to clean you windows with microfiber towels (and Windex)? The towels left a ton of fine fuzzy particles on both the inside and outside of the front windshield that I had to go back with paper towels twice to get rid of these fibers? The towels I used were already used on ce before for taking off car wax but washed without fabric softener. My tow sons both told me not to use them for windows but I wanted to try it out anyway.

Once my MC towels are washed they become very weak and tend to leave the "lint" for lack of better terms behind. I would not use them on the window. They also seem to streak a good bit more.

Use no fabric softner or drier sheets. Air dry is probably best for them.

I have "special" window towels. Got them for the local parts store they are small and have a very fine "grit" texture to them. I use a SMALL amount of window cleaner just to lubricate and they pull off all the film/dirt on the windows.
