How long since the fuel filter was changed? Sounds like it could be that, when its dirty or has too many foreign substances (water, dirt, rust, etc.) all of which can be gotten from "bad" gas, it restricts the flow of fuel and can cause all of the symptoms you have described. The other possibility is a bad O2 sensor, but you will have to check your codes as Nate described to find anything.

I merged the 3 threads. One thread on a topic is plenty.

i technically own it and paid it in full already, just a lot of stupid technicalities are keeping me from having it in my driveway right now. Monday the latest. I think i already said that this didnt happen on my Z, just wanted to warn everyone

i havent checked the fuel filter, only the air. how do i check it, that sounds like a good idea thank you. And the check engine light initially came on because of an 02 sensor but my family never cared enough to fix it, it was nothing lethal. Please elaborate....

these altima people just kind of jumped in with out knowing all the facts kinda funny. and whenever we go to florida and have to fill up in jersey my dad hates that he cant pump his own gas beause its his benz and he doesnt wat gas dripped on it and bla bla bla.isent it illegal to pump ur own gas there.

funny thing i saw the other day lady was from the city.(where i live u get all the city people stopin in my town on there way to the hamptons). anyway i was at 7 eleven, im waiting on line and the lady holding up the line is like i really need gas and the cashier goes what pump are u at she goes i guess ill take 5. this lady was parked in a parking spot. u usually park at the pump then go in and pay if ur payin with cash but no she was payin with a credit card i wanted to tell her to get the **** out of my town right now u dont even know how to pay for gas. i dident stay long enough to see if she figured out how to pump it.

To straighten things out here. Rex merged the threads. The OP had this same thread in 3 different forums.

Delta gas may be harmless. The issues that the OP stated sounds more like one or more sensors are failing. He has no idea of what the CEL is on for because he's left it on for so long.

There are a few states where the law prohibits you from pumping your own gas. Oregon is one of them. It's probably for your own safety.

Gasoline and Diesel nozzles are different sizes. I don't think it's possible to fit a diesel nozzle into a gasoline tank.

Or if the air filter was not changed regularly the crud gets to the MAF sensor

here is a photo of my air filter after 8k miles. I inspect and change mine every 8-10k miles. Takes less than 10 minutes.

your supposed to change it every 6000 miles.... i personally change it every oil change (clean the one on the Z). And i am also a person that when i do brakes i don't just do pads, or just rotors - i replace both every time.... no sense in being cheap when its your means of transportation especially to the place that pays your bills (work)

Why?

Most good rotors will take 2-3 pads. I clean my air filter as needed. Mileage has never been a good indicator in my book.

if they are warped i get rid of them, plus i buy pretty decent pads ($115 a piece/per axle)..... so by the time its time to change em, i do everything.... i was just stating i change my filters often but i am also a guy that changes everything every time i do the brakes... if you must ask why, then i guess my answer is - because i can!!!!!

My next question is, why kind of pads are you using that cost $115/axle?

I haven't paid MSRP on brakes for quite a few years, so I have no idea what they are supposed to cost.

Oh, hehehe. Ok. I've been using Hawk HPS for a few years now and I think I paid like $44 for the last set. I love having (at least) on hook up.
