Hello,

After doing the RB swap the water temp gauge and the tachometer does not work on the gauge cluster. Which wire goes to the gauge to make the water temp work?

Anyone have a ECU pinout diagram for the KA24DE engine? We know the KA24DE engine has a blue/orange wire with black for the water temp. But which wire goes to the gauge cluster?

Thanks

Tony

i would run an autometer gauge. so you get a better reading.

Well is there anyway to get it working? Which wires on the brown plug go to the water temp gauge? I want all the gauges in my cluster to work. I will get dual pod gauge cluster for boost and air/fuel.

the water temp sensor is a blue wire. the wire comes into the car via the main harness. there will be a couple of plugs that come off the main harness it will be one of those blue wires. now the plugs that come off the main harness will be like an eight and a ten i belive. ok then what you need to do is take the sensor wire that comes off the back of the gauge cluster and asumming that you have it wired up correctly take that sensor wire and cut the blue wires off the plugs that do nothing and connect them if the gauge moves you have the right one. but you have to make sure the eninge is warm. i have all of my gauges working. that was the hardest part of the swap for me, i spent like 10 hours getting everything wired up and the cluster fitting right.

wait a minute, which gauge cluster are you using? I am just trying to get my 240sx gauge cluster to read write. I dont even want to think about taking my dash apart!

to get the KA cluster temp gauge to work you need to use the KA sensor off the old engine, they are a direct swap.

the RB sensor has a totally diffrent range. the motor would have to be come crazy high heat for the needle to even budge.

oh i thought you were using the rb cluster. i have no idea then. i think that the rb cluster looks cooler and cleaner.

I have the rb cluster. How well does it fit? Have you gotten it to fit?

you have to hack the **** out of the inside of your dash so that it fits. thats about it. no big deal. and it still dose not fit perfect so i have to do more. basicly it is a huge pain in the ***. but worth it.

for the s13

for the s14 it fits without any hacking but you need to fab up some brackets for it.

Hmm...I'm using the KA cluster and the RB temp sensor and my temp gauage appears to be working fine? Ever since I got the engine running it stays well below the bottom mark until I've driven it for several minutes, then it slowly rises and settles about halfway up the range of the temp gauge.
