Water Temp Sensor question

I did a search and found some info, but I just need a little clearification.

Does the SR have two water temp sensors (one for ECU, one for gauge cluster) by the TB?

If so which one is for the gauge cluster. I have a one wire sensor and a multi wire sensor with a red plug.

I have a redtop in a 93 hatch if that matters.

The single wire is the thermal transmitter which is for the gauge and the engine coolant temp sensor is for the ecu.
