Water temp sensor help

I've been told that the resistance of water temp sensor is suppose to be: cold at 2.98 and hot at .33 . But I'm getting: cold at 2.98 and hot at 321.5 ... I just replaced the sensor as well. :help Any explaination?

What are you usuing to take the resistance reading? If the coolant temp sensor is really jumping from 2.98 ohms cold to 321.5 ohms hot your car should be running like garbage and flooding when hot. If you are using a multimeter did you set the decimal place in the right spot? Or if its auto adjusting are you sure the meter didn't change from Kilo Ohms to Ohms? Just some stuff to check
