I've got a electric autometer sport comp gauge that I'm using for my water temp. The sending unit I have doesn't fit in the smaller sending units place on the water neck. Does anyone know the size of the threads that are on the water neck? The sending unit I have is 1/8"NPT. Just making sure you know where I'm talking about on the engine, it's right where the thermostat is, theres two sending units that are right beside each other, I'm trying to replace the smaller one. Thanks.

If it's the S14 waterneck with the bung that you are talking about then it's 1/4"NPT so you will need an adapter 1/8" to 1/4" for your sensor.http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS/858286/10002/-1The very first one is what I used and don't forget the teflon tape!!!

The one I have is 1/4" npt. I have a s13 water neck. I don't know why but the stock one is bigger than the one I have. Another guy I know said he took the stock sending unit out, the one for the gauge (smaller one) and screwed his aftermarket one right in. Now I'm not sure what size it is on the water neck. If you can, PM me, for some reason my posts don't show up on my computer and I have to search for about 10 mintues before I find my post.
