water temp high..

hrmmm my water temp usually runs around 195 to 200 degrees under regular driving, but when ever i get on it at events, i've sometimes seen 230 degree temps, but have really had no difference in performance, but that's really hot...It only happens when i'm in higher rpms for about 30 seconds to a minute.. Anyone have any ideas? Only other problem is a lil low gas milage..it's just annoying me :/

Did you purge the water system to get all the air out of it? Could be that or thermostat? A radiator is a sure way to go will keep the temps really low.

yeah,i bled the system. i'm going to replace the thermostat then the radiator if i'm still havin problems..
