Everytime I wash my pretty little pup, I clean up the windows and such. No big deal right?

The day of, the day after, and even days after that (for example, after it rains) when I roll my window down, and roll it back up, my window is at least partially left wet from the washing/rain.

Is there a way to fix it? Water spots are ugly.

The easiest way i know is to take a clean, dry microfiber to the windows when they are dry. I leave a microfiber in my car to take care of them. I also do the inside of the car with the same microfiber which takes the dust off the windows nicely. Alternatively, you can get those spray on, finishing waxes that are good for windows (make sure of this on the labels first) and apply that to the windows to make sure the streaks are gone. The wax I used acted like rainex on the windows and didn't discolor.

this is a pet-peve of mine as well, i avoid rolling my windows down when that seal is wet at all. luckily its been working so far i dont have that annoying water streaks

and if ur looking to dry them out, i'd assume u can just remove the door panel on a nice day (like today, nice weather in CT after days of rain uugghh) and just let it dry out.

Girls don't like the window down-- it messes up their hair...

QFT. I keep a quick detailer spray and a microfiber cloth in my car. It doesn't prevent but it fixes.

We will give it a Knock on Wood, but my car doesn't do that.

The way that I realized it...the other day our windows were all fogged up in the morning, and we put the windows down to try and clear them. Put the windows back up and it cleared a 4 inch strip right by the rear view mirror. It was like it was designed to do that. I thought it was odd...and apparently it is!

No offense to the kids who didn't pay attention to my question, but I know HOW to clean my windows. I was just wondering if there was a way to PREVENT additional cleaning from inside the window... canyon or whatever it's called that it goes into when you roll it down.

=)

To the others who can actually read, thanks. Guess I have to live with it. I'm not a removing-door-panel kind of gal =)

And Max, it's not too bad if only one is down. But we do not roll down both. That's a big no-no. Mostly okay with one window and the sunroof open, though.

Unfortunately completely hydrophobic windows are hard to come by. There is glass cleaner you can put on to help prevent water from sitting on the window long enough to dry and make water marks. I use Invisible Glass Cleaner and it works pretty well to prevent water marks. But when it's wet outside, you'll have to live with the ugly water spots.

Here's what I do. Wash car. Roll down windows. Take my mini-absorber (or use whatever other MF cloth or chamois you have) run it along the window track squeegees. Roll up window. Wipe down windows with mini-absorber. Done. If I have nothing else to do I will follow that up by cleaning with Stoner's Invisible Glass then applying rain-x.

Before, my window tracks were still wet hours after washing but this practice makes it much less, perhaps 20 mins now.
