Took a trip to Fla last week and during our first pit stop to gas up my wife notices water on the mat. Lifting the mat revealed a puddle of water on the carpet which was soaked and starting to move to the rear also. It was obviously from the AC coil under the dash and a quick inspection under the car indicating the drain line wasn't draining. After playing with the discharge nipple on the drain line I was able to get it to flow. Still not sure why this occurred..... was it clogged, kinked, I'm not sure. Also, prior to our trip, I had been using the AC locally and no problem. Seems to be OK now but I will have checked during next service. Anybody experience this or have ideas on what could have caused this to happen.

1) Make sure your cabin air filter is not damaged or kinked letting debris in which could clog the drain tube. Instructions on replacing the filter here:

2) Although the condensate drain should not normally clog, it is possible. Areas prone to lots of tree pollen & seeds can cause the blockage you found. Periodic checking and cleaning is the only way to avoid it.

Finally, it's a good idea to shut the A/C off about 1 minute before your arrival to give the evaporator coil a chance to dry off. This will help reduce the chances of mold and musty smells.
