sup everyone. my water pump on my i30 is making puddles under my car. im kind of broke right now so my only option at this point is to fix it myself. is that doable for a guy who never done one before. I understand you have to mess with the tensioner and covers and all that. it seems kind of intimidating. can anyone give me advice or install instructions. it would GREATLY be appreciated.

also i have knock sensor , o2 sensor and evap vent codes comin on my check engine light. could that be all tied in to the fact my muffler is a mess?

Welcome to NICO.

Give me a little time and I'll post the water pump removal and installation instructions from the FSM.

I doubt your codes are due to a bad muffler. Probably just seperate issues with the car.

You're quite welcome. I sure don't envy you on the water pump replacement.

As for your other needs:O2 Sensor - http://www.sparkplugs.com/Knock Sensor - http://www.nissanparts.org/Cat-back and Y-pipe (includes flex pipe section) - numerous sponsors carry them check this thread. Look at Custom Enterprises, Sport Compact Only, and Stillen. zerothread/119692

As always, be sure to mention you're a NICO member when placing your orders.

Tricks of the trade my friend, the instructions are from a 1996 Maxima Factory Service Manual. I can e-mail it to you if you can accept a 39.9 MB file.

The water pump is located on the passenger side of the engine. Your best bet will probably be to take off your passenger side tire and splash guards and go at it from there.

Yahoo only goes up to 10MB. Let me see what I can do.

Edit: I sent you an e-mail with a link so you can download it.
