Hey guys,

Have the Haynes manual and average to above average mechanical aptitude, but wondering if there's a veteran out there who can provide any shortcuts/tips. I know I should do t belt at same time but the whole alignment issue has me apprehensive. Planning to sell her after repairs as I need something bigger. Thanks for the help.

just take your time and you'll be fine, fan, shround, belts and hoses, out of the way, the ac tensioner bracket and timing cover off it's pretty simple once you get down to it, it's also a good idea to do the timing belt while you're at it, just have to pull the crank pulley and lover cover and you're there

Thanx, this weekend will be the teardown. Parts have been cheap, so if I can get this done w/o much heartache, should be running well.BTW - ever hear of a headlight motor that just won't quit. driver's side just keeps going up and down, up and down and chime stays on if i stop them in either position with switch. disconnected motor for now with headlight up, but....thanks again.
