Water Pump replacement issue

I have an issue. I can't get my water pump out. I'm no newbie to engine work of any kind and followed the instructions for my G35 water pump replacement which is pretty simple, except I can't get the water pump out! lol. I installed the M8 bolts on the top and bottom of the water pump housing and gave it a half turn to pry the pump out, then the housing snapped. I need to know of a good method to get the pump out. This thing will not budge with any of the procedures I tried. Please HELP! Thanks in advance.
