Few days ago, I realized my water pump is leaking like crazy. I read the forums, but there was no part number provided. It said that I need a CA18ET's pump, but which car is that off from?? and also what year is the car off of?? Please help me out, I am in need to get my car running. Thanks!!!

ya 84 will work. 200sx 1.8 liter.

some other things you will need to get this job done, a 27mm socket (for the crank pulley) a inpact wrench (again for the crank pulley) and a gear puller (guess what this is for lol)

and i took my timing belt off because its kinda in the way, you might not need to though, just depends on how patient you are:)

you can aim if yyou have any questions real quick.

its in my signature

if thats the only one listed for the 200sx then its probably the one.

i would just go to the local auto store and ask for a water pump for a 85 200sx 1.8l

go with nissan OEM pumps, unless you like changing them once a year or more! autoparts store pumps are remaned crap.

I don't know that I agree with you on that one Jon. I've installed pleny of remaned water pumps and they worked just fine. The only thing that goes bad on them is the shaft seal, and that is simply pressed out and a new one pressed back in. They also clean it up and will sometimes put on a new impeller. I'm pretty familiar with water pumps (it's part of what I do everyday) and they're a pretty simple device. Regardless, most of them have a lifetime warrenty on them, so the worst that can happen is that you're out or transportation for a short time. I still love you though man...[/rant]

Plus, its not like Nissan actually MAKES their water pumps. Another company does. The GMB 'autoparts' pumps are great and not cheap by any means...
