So After the storm Jersey has gotten, I went into my car and smelled wet carpet. After further inspection, the carpet on the driver side was soaked. Anyone have any ideas on what can be causing this problem. thanks for the help

Possibly clogged drains. There are drains that allow water to drain from up along the hood cowel to the ground. If these become clogged with debris (aka leaves get in there are other stuff) the drains may back up into the car, and they usually back up - right down along the firewall into the carpet in the front seats.

You can ask your auto repair shop to blow out the drains, should solve the problem.

Also - be careful now about mold on your carpets, you may want to clean them thorougly to prevent mold growth.

I believe Nissan has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) regarding this issue.

Take it back to the dealer and demand they fix it!
