I just went for a cruise in the maxi in the good ole town of Edinboro to see what it had to offer, which wasnt much. But I did find somthing however. Which is not to my liking. The driver side and passenger side floor was soaked, but just in the front. At 1st I thought it could have possibly been my sun roof cause about two days ago it had poured and I left my sun/moon roof cracked. (not like slid back but pushed up...hopefully you get it) Anyway, right after it rain, like 20 minutes, I had realized I'd done it and went to assess the damage. Luckily nothing (to my knowledge) was wet. So that rules out the sun roof because the seats would have to have been just as wet, if not more, than the floor.

After I ranted off some obsenitys to myself, I got in and started it up. I put the car in reverse and backed out of my spot but on the way out I got another surprise. Water started dripping onto my foot! (I was wearing flip flops...gay-looking maybe...easy and little work...yes) None dripped down from the brake pedal at all...just the gas pedal. After accelerating and letting off a few times it stopped dripping.

Now can some one PLEASE tell me WTF is goin on here??

Pennsylvania in August, hot outside, humid too, yeah? Been using your AC a lot? My guess is that it is condensation from your AC. When you cool humid air the moisture condenses into water. Kinda like a cold soda can on a hot, humid day. That water will build up in your vents and leak out. Best solution, 5 minutes before you get home, crack the windows turn off the AC, and run the vent on high. Should clear up that problem!

It seems like alot of condensation for the inside of a car...and the last few days havent been overly hot. I've just never ever heard of condensation in a car to the point that it soaks the carpet...like its wet to the point that when i poked the carpet there was water that sorta pooled up...I mean its getting better (i left the windows cracked) I just went and checked it about an hour or so ago...but yea I've just never heard of condensation to that extreme

Are you around 90-100% humidity? Also think of how much water is condensed by a soda can, now multiply that by like 100. I could be wrong, but the fact that it's coming from the gas pedal side (right near the vent) makes me think that. When I lived in Dallas, my 99 Dodge ram truck had a blocked condensation drain, and it phuckin soaked the carpet. You might check your condensation drain, look under the car when the AC is on and it should start dripping after a few minutes. So, other than that I'm not sure, since you said the seats weren't wet from the sunroof fiasco. Good luck.

Humidity is around 80 yea...Oh yea when the AC's on water drips down from underneath...I just never knew it would come in your car...never had it happen to me on anyother car...

I believe you I was just a little shocked that it would cause that much moisture...but it is worse on the driver side...so Im sure your right...its just new to me thats all...but definately thanks for clearing that up! I would have been lost otherwise!

If you can find the drain hose underneath the car, blow some compressed air thru it. (It's kinda ghetto, blowing that s**t into your vents) But it beats the hell out of wet floors! If you want to fix it properly, pull off your vent ducts and blow it out in the correct direction.
