Has anyone ever have this issue? My ceiling is dry when it rains but water makes it way through my map lights and drip down on my gear shift. Do i have a sunroof drainage problem and how do i solve this?

Have the same issue myself. The Q im running currently is probably going to be chopped up this spring so I will not assess this. I THINK it is from the sunroof sitting a touch low. Or the rear part of the rubber seal lining may have a gap. I think they slowly grow tighter and smaller over the years. I noticed if you park the car flat or if you have the nose slowly higher than the rear it does not leak.

I have this issue on my Z car's T-top drains. If you can catch it in time (i.e., the drains are not fully and completely choked out) you can get a high pressure air hose wiith nossle fitting on it and blow them out with the roof open. If you cannot get the air through you need to roto-ruter those suckers. There is actualy a special tool for doing this, I only know that as I had an old Maxima that was completely clogged and in LA there is a sun roof shop that did it in 10 minutes for 10 bucks for me.

Try air first. You need serious high pressure air like from a shop with a good compressor and not the air hose part for tires, one that just blows free and clear. Hopefully that works.

I just fixed the 95 Maxima this past weekend with the same issue. I used a small air compressor with a handheld air gun and rubber tip to blow out the drain holes. The holes are located in each of the front corners. So I blew out the drains all on three Nissans to possibly keep the issue from happening this winter.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I will try this out soon as I get a chance. Do'nt have a garage and its getting cold as s***, man I hate winter, so stupid! There should be a law against winter.

Had the exact same problem. Used compressed air in the sunroof drain lines and viola! No more leak. Until you fix it, park with the nose uphill...

This is funny because I JUST ran into this issue yesterday. Pulled the map light IMMEDIATELY and shoved some napkins up there.

Opened the sunroof today and didnt see any water pooled up anywhere...the drain holes werent covered, but I blew the holes out with compressed air anyways. The sunroof track itself had a bit of water here and there, and I can only assume the water made its way through the 4 bolt holes for the sunroof motor. I used some RTV on those bolt holes as well.....we will see if there are anymore leaks.
