Water leak, if not addressed immediately, will lead to engine overheat.

Most likely the water pump, leaking thru the pump seals. Butt check the water cooling lines. If you're lucky, the leak maybe just due loose connections.

Replacing water pump is time consuming. So if you're not handy with tools and impatient, better leave the job to your mechanic. Let me know if you want to do it yourself.

At IoS, everythinginfiniti.com, discounted price of water pump is @ $80.

Ask the mechanic if any of the bottom end parts were damaged;was the piston wall scored, was there water in the engine etc. If the blockwas cracked then the engine is probably junk.

If you plan on keeping the car, you probably want to put in a newwater pump, thermostat, and timing and camshaft chains, guides, tensioner.

I would like to see how the camshafts are removed to get tothe head
