Yeah the water in the trunk is a common issue. it can be a tear in the weather seal or like my car it was coming through the small wire harness going to the hatch for the third light and defroster. remember the water can be leaking in and run along the plastic panels to end up in the trunk. hope this helps.

The easiest way to find a leak in your trunk is to get a flash light and get inside the trunk and shut the lid. Then have a friend use a pressure washer or water hose and spray water all over your trunk. Then turn on the flashlight and find out where the water is coming from. Problem solved.

Water leaked into my trunk as well. I found that water that had collected and sat on top of my right side tail light was leaking in through the sealant where the tails are seated. You can check there, if that's the problem you can seal em up with silicone.

I havnt drivin my car since all this rain weve had here in socal. I started driving it a couple of days ago. I used my trunk yesterday and the carpet was wet. lifted up the carpet and cardboard and the whoole spare tire well was full of water... lol.

I checke dmy trunk seal by wiping it with chalk and it seals aroudn the body. wo i couldnt figure out were it was coming from.

I remmeber now when I first got the car. I had to change the taillights becuase the old ones were broken and i removed off the nasty gooey s***. I didnt know what it was for. I do now. LOL

There is a rubber plug in the trunk/hatch area, pull it out and it will drain. I have to do it a lot.

Glad I sparked your memory... I just have to remember to seal mine back up when I put my tails in.

Lucky me, my trunk has no puddle, but there is some wetness. My key lock hole is allowing some water to pass thru it. I'm thinking of eliminating the key lock hole.
