Well, lovely South Florida, it rains every single day and today was just like any other. Only to find out that just above the right rear seat belt plastic cover it drips water and not just one or to drops. So, is the weather strip around the hatch bad? I couldnt look because it is pouring, but from what I recall last time I cleaned the car, there was no visual damages/rips. Thanks for any outputs!Oh yeah, I also collect water around the spare tire, but I think someone mentioned that its coming from the tail lights? So just take them out, clean and put some new silicon? Thanks!

In each corner of the sunroof opening is a small drain hole. One or more could be clogged. I poured a little draino and water in each of mine , let it sit for awhile and then flushed out with water. This flushed the built up crud out and my sunroof quit leaking. give it a try.

My bad! It's been a long day. My confused mine thought you were having sunroof problems. I re-read your post and realized your hatch is leaking.Sorry, but I don't have any solutions there.

sorry dunno about the seat belt one.

But about the hatch...Get a friend to help you out. Go into the hatch yourself with a flashlight, close the hatch and have your friend pour different areas of the hatch. You'll be able to see where its leaking from.

If its the tail lights, just go get to Butyl rubber, take out the old and replace it with the new ones.

hope that helps.

About the sunroof, no prob I'll try that, actually I saw a little hole on the body right next to the weather strip, so perhaps it might be dripping from there. Its just above the seat belt cover, so that would make sense. If that is the problem, what should I use to cover it up? Silicone, JD Weld or something else? Thanks guys!

if anything u can probably just use the butyl rubber from the tailights. That might help.

I can't help you with the seat belt one, but the water where the spare tire is, is probably coming from rust under your spoiler. Hd the same problem on my S13.

Super, thanks, I have to buy that anyway for the tail lights, so I'll use it.

Ni2s4s0aSnX, no spoiler and no back wipe (that's actually sounds like an upgrade, lol).
