Water damage questions.

Hey all im looking into getting a TT z but i was told it took in water ( intake maybe?) I was wondering what would need to be replaced/fixed with water damage. any input would be appreciated.

depends on how much water, if it actually took water into the intake and hydrolocked the motor... you need a new motor, you might be able to drain you're and get it back into shape but plan for the worst and hope for the best, drain all fluids, pull thespark plugs an try turning the engine by hand, if there is any water in you'll pump it out, wd40 inthe spark plug holes, fresh spark plugs, clean all the electrical connections with wire dryer, put it all back together, hold your breathe and your walletalso pull the i/c piping to let any potential water in there out

thanks for the 411 It will start up im told it just runs like crap. So im guessing the plugs are done and maybe water was still in the ic piping

if the car is running but poorley, I'd change the plugs, pull the piping in case ther's any moisture still lurking in there, and pull al the electrical connectors and treat them with wire dryer, if ti still runs like poo have the codes read, could be a and coil pack or ptu

Power Transistor Unit, it's a little thingy attached to the front of the passanger side timing belt cover with like a million wires, it's what fires your coils
