Ok, so i went and looked at the RMS13 i may be buying.Problem is, after parked for a while, once we moved it, we noticed a small puddle of water under the tailpipe, and my dad said he saw it coming out.I looked it up when i got home, and it all pointed towards condensation in the tailpipe. I'm in michigan, and they said that they dont drive it in the winter.I called my dad up after that (he went with my sister to menards), and told him and he said "WRONG, NOT THAT MUCH BUDDY!!!" I still am not completely sure, can someone help me out please? i need to let the seller know if im buying it by tomorrow.

I need to know what it is caused by and if its bad for anything (besides rusting the exhaust anyway..)

i found this pic on the net, because i couldnt take a pic of the puddle there. probably half as much as whats in that circle, but maybe half or just barely over half Help me out, please.

let me bump it to the top even though I am almost clueless.

you should have felt it and smelled it -no seriously. If they don't drive it a lot, it's gonna get icy in there. vapor is hot, so yeap, condensation and melting. But could it be coolant? Did you check the oil dip stick? Also the a/c helps creating puddles

go check the car out again, look at the coolant in the radiator, color and smell....then start it and let it run and bs with the guy for awhile...afterwards stick your hand right in the puddle and feel it and smell it. youll be able to tell if its just condensation or if its coolant.and yes, a little water from condensation etc. out of the pipe is fairly

I work at Midas. Its a common question. Sometimes the built in weep holes get clogged, or sometimes the cars sit at a angle that lets water build up from condensation, or sometimes they get water in from washing or rain. As long as its water its not a problem. (other than rust)

If it continues to happen get the car up where you can see under it and check the weep hole on the muffler. If there is not one you can drill a small 1/16th inch hole at the lowest point of the muffler and it will make a nice drain and keep this from happening again.

condensation bro.

might be chilly or cold out,

after driving your car exhaust gets hot and the chilly weather makes it "sweat"

Ok, first off all, check the radiator make sure there's coolant, not water, then start the car, smell the exhaust, if it smells normal then I wouldn't worry about "water" coming out of the exhaust, most likely its condensation because if the cold, you're in the east coast right? Maybe someone filled the tail pipe with snow messing around, im in chicago and the snow has been terrible, sure it isn't a winter car but it can still be parked outside. I doubt its anything major, does your dad even know much about cars? Everyones dad thinks he knows about cars and always assume stuff.Wait, im writing this and didn't check the date, was I too late to post this??
