I put music DVDs on occasionally. Not that I actually watch them, cause I would agree. That would be dangerous. Also, if you're driving people around, they can watch while you're driving then. Though, you gotta watch out for cops cause video in view of the driver is illegal just about everywhere AFAIK.major27012 wrote:yeah uh watching a dvd while driving sounds reallll smartt...and this is coming from a 17 year old...
I do the same. Sometimes I play music dvds, but I only glance at the monitor once in a while or when I'm at red lights, etc.AppleBonker wrote:

And while this is still technically illegal, I don't feel it is as unsafe as most people make it out to be (and I find it funny when those people are the ones talking on the phone whenever they are in the car).kuhan wrote:

I successfully installed it!I ended up just grounding it somewhere... i think ill just have to keep an eye out when i'm driving to make sure no one sees a movie instead of something else like the NAV.kuhan wrote:Well, if you ever worry about cops pulling you over for playing dvds while driving, then I'd get a switch. Basically, go to radioshack and get a nice small switch that you like and wire the ground wire to one end of the switch and the other end to the head unit.
When you switch to ON, you send "ground" to the unit (which bypasses the safety) and if you switch to OFF, then you cut the ground to the unit which enables the safety feature (which the unit won't allow you to watch dvds).
