I yelled stop and waved my arms but she still backed into the passenger front fender and lower part of the front bumper where it wraps into the fender.

It looks like all paint damage..... to both cars

WHY can't women drive why?

Heck, my wife ran over my foot once and didn't hear me scream. And it was the front left wheel! Maybe Henry Ford was right when he said a car was too complicated a machine for a woman to operate.

That sucks!! I'm sooo paranoid after my key scratch was fixed...

I'm lucky, my wife is a great driver! She learned while I was stationed in Italy...kind of like surviving under fire

Man I honestly cried a little....

I have way too much stuff going on in my life...

Wife is preggo with our 2nd and having a rough time so I have to do everything while she lays in bed or pukes, plus I'm worried about her

My 2 year old son has inoperable non-cancerous spinal tumor he is getting chemo for every 3 weeks

Looks like my company will go out of buisiness in about 7 weeks and the whole family is on my health insurance

now my car is missing paint on the passenger side

The car was about the only thing in my world that wasn't going to S hit!

I'll wait until the end of January to see if I'm unemployeed before I get either car fixed. I have a slight vibration in the steering wheel at above 70 mph now so I'm thinking some front suspension parts may have been tweaked too :-(

I've been thing about it and I may try to fix it with the touch up paint. If it doesn't look okay I'm thinking I'll look for a fender from car-parts.com or just break down and claim my own insurance for both cars.... we have not had a claim since 2003 and both have perfect driving records.

How much damage?? I'm sure a local shop could blend the paint with the surrounding panels and you wouldn't even notice. I was surprised how well my door looks after I had a scratch fixed. Not necessarily cheap (it was $550 out the door with the front bumper also fixed), but worth it.

I'd take it to the dealer and see if they can recommend anyone. My dealer actually sent me to a shop that gave me a reduced labor rate because they get a lot of business from the Infiniti dealer. (and it was next to a Caddy dealer )

daaam, that sucks man..

on another sad note. yesterday we had ice pileup in CT in the am. so as im walking in the parking lot to work, i see a brand new camry pull into a spot that was left empty for a reason...smash into a pile of snow layered with ice. im assuming no damage to her car tho. then she reverses carefully and drive GAS smash again in to the snow bank..she. yes i finally gave it away it was a woman/female/shouldnt be driving. did that 3 times reverse and drive reverse and drive, as if she thought that she had a plow on it.

and today am im walking again and guess what, she plowed into a G coupe. taking off the fender denting door and duffing up the rim..

Damn Jeff! Sorry to hear about all that's going on with you... Let me take one for the team for you and I'll just drink twice as much tonight in your honor... stay off the wagon for sure... now's not the time to start drinking again. I'll pour a sip on the curb for your battle scarred homey!

Keep your chin up son and just tell people that you were drifting at 100mph and rubbed another car, but you still beat him!... that sounds cooler than your story...

I'd be down to join you for that beverage if I wasn't super-slammed with work...

Man great support from the peeps on NICO! THANKS!

I found a company 2 blocks from my house with 5 job openings that should be similar pay and same (transportation) industry. I'm going to wait it out here and see if we can find more work and stay open though. But I'm not as stressed about work.

The fed cut 1/4 off interest rates today so I think I may refi from my wonderful 15 year down to a 30 year in case I'm unemployeed for any amount of time and making payments on my wifes money LOL

Right before I traded my Ram my wife drove it to work and pulling into her covered spot hit the drivers corner of the front bumper on a block wall. So she put it into reverse and drug the passenger side of the bed down a cinder block support column for the covered spot

Jeff, sorry to hear all the bad news, but 5 job openings does sound promising!

Stay away from the booze, I'll drink one for you too!

My high school girl friend told me later after college when we hooked up again (ran into one another at a bar in Myrtle Beach) that she blamed our breakup on me loving my Mach 1 more than her....I was like It's just a car!!!! yeah, I had to spend a lot of time working on it, fixing it, keeping it running, but....Anyway, like I said, this was after college and I had a brand new car! We had just started dating again. We went to Taco Bell for some take out and she dropped a juicy enchilada between her seat and the door!!! Like I said, it's just a car. That's what I told her and we cleaned it up.I think she was really surprised at my response. BUT, had it been my Mach 1 j/kjust a car.

I feel ya Jeff

When I had my lexus... My GF almost Totaled it in a McDonalds Drive In. She it a yellow pole (Had a black lexus) and messed up the car from the front fender to Trunk. Then se Backed up into a Dodge that was behind her in line and messed up the trunk all the lights Then she didn't want to tell me and she parked the car funny in the drive way so that i didn't see the back or the driver side. Then when se was comming out of the drive way in her 4runner she backed into the pass side with the trailer hitch into the center of the front pass door and the corner of the bumper into the center of the rear door.

I claimed it on my insurance

The guy came to look at the car and asked was it stolen?

Then he was like Did it Flip?

And then he was like how did this car get this way.

I told him that it happend at walmart while i was shopping.

Then the GF says no it didn't and told him how she F***ed it up...

Then i had to pay a 250 Dollar Deductable!

Thanks guys your stories make me feel a bit better at least about the car.

I spent a couple hours in the garage just looking at the damage and I think I can live with it. Most of it is paint from her car that should buff out (if the flakey Infiniti paint doesn't come with it).

That's a mighty helpless feeling watching something like that happen in seemingly slow motion. I have a wife that can't drive too... hang in there bud, it'll all work out.

I'm not trying to rag on women. But you guys don't have a clue until you have driven cross country in your new (new to me) Infiniti G35. Wifey did here best to demonstrate Tailgating, riding slow in the left lane, looking at scenery instead of the road, weaving side to side on a straight road, looking to the right while doing 80 and a cop is in the median on her left (she never sees the cop). Several times I thought I was going to die.

Well I think I solved the job problem at about 3 am this morning. I pitched my business plan to my boss the VP/GM and then we pitched it to our current president. We are an agency for a company headquartered in Shanghai China. The company that we are agents for is pulling out of the US market completely.

We still have all our people, supplies, name ect the only thing we are missing is the work. Looks like 5 of us are just going to start our own company! If our current president doesn't bank roll us my current VP and I have a lunch meeting tomorrow with one of our venders who will! So in a few months I should be working for myself, from home, and making alot more money! The best part is the 5 people I picked to start the new company with are the same 5 people our Chinese daddies picked to close out their US operations. So the 5 of us can start our new company now and we don't need to turn a profit until April or May when we finish closing the current company
