I watched this video on npora this morning and went out to my car and did the same test with the car parked and my engine moved almost just as much as the one in the video. So I suppose I need a new motor mount??

Has anyone ever changed the drivers side mount?? Is it as simple as putting a jack under the oil pan to support it, take the mount out, new one in?? Or is there more to it

They also list 2 options for the mount when I checked the price, they listed a solid option, and a hydraulic version...

Crazy video!! Cant believe my engine is doing that under the hood!

Heh, I was thinking of checking my motor mounts too after seeing that video a couple days ago.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to change a motor mount. I also don't know which type of motor mount is preferable (solid vs. hydraulic).

I guess the solid motor mount will last longer while the hydraulic one will transfer less vibrations from the engine to the cabin.

I don't think so, i checked ours yesterday and it didn't have that much play, if it moved i would say it moved about maybe an inch when i press on the gas while on drive and reverse, while pressing the brake pedal of course  .
I would say who ever owns that car in the video needs to change either the motor mount or the torque mount if there is any.

How are you supposed to test this? When you first posted this thread I immediately tried it out, but i only reved the engine in neutral and park. Does it need to be in gear?

Ya put it in drive, keep the brake pressed FIRM, and slowly rev it up. I wouldnt go over 3k rpm

You can do it in reverse aswell
