Can't believe there isn't already a topic about this. Has everyone seen the gameplay preview for Watch Dogs?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really stoked for this game. They haven't set an official release date yet.

Not sure there wasn't an individual post about it but it was mentioned in a Gen Chat E3 post I think and yes, many people thought it was awesome! It was by far the most interesting and liked game at E3 this year, way too much motion crap being displayed.

I look forward to it and can't wait to see more about it.

Looks interesting for sure. I'm not sure how a lot of that stuff will really work in actual gameplay (timing the traffic light bit, for instance) without the help of some smart scripting to spice things up a bit (providing sufficient cross-traffic, etc.).

Had this on my long-range radar since I heard about it on a VGO podcast a few months ago. Nice to finally see something from it.

MoD. are you actually going to break your Ubi boycott to play it?

I doubt it.

I broke it for Driver when they appeared to be taking steps in the right direction. After these comments, though, they can suck my magic wand.

It looks like it's based on the same engine as GTA IV, at least as far as character control is concerned. It wouldn't be that hard to write some "car pop up here now" type scripts, just like GTA does. GTA managed to get away with it pretty easily, and there were only a few times you actually actively noticed "pop up" objects. I'd say that wouldn't be too difficult to implement in this game.

I did a little more digging, and found out they said it wouldn't ship this year for sure. :( They said it was a soft release date of 2013, so I would say that means later in the year, most likely in time for the holiday season. Oh well, looks like we'll just have to wait.

Favorite part of the trailer: Bo Duke hoodslide to kick to the chest while simultaneously shooting the guy in the face.
