Hey, iv got a 2nd hand genuine HKS 40mm wastegate that I'm yet to test on my ca, the question I have is should the valve be stiff enough that I can't push it with my finger ? The thing is that i can push it in...It's got a low psi spring like 7-8psi I'm told.

I have the exact same wastegate. It's a .5 bar spring which equates to a little over 7psi. Yes, you can push that with your fingers. IIRC, I read somewhere that with the use of a boost controller you can turn up the boost to double the spring pressure, meaning in your case, you could run up to around 14psi. Over that and you'll need another spring.
