so im in the process of getting a hose barb welded onto my hotpipe and i was wondering what size i should get the barb?

and i was also wondering should i get a 'screw type barb' or are there other types of barbs?? i have also read about using HPT bungs and then screwing the barbs onto the bungs which is the best method??

some people have said use 2 but i dont see the point i thought i would only need 1 for the vacuum im about to go to home deopt so i need to get this squared out thanks guys

you should keep this on your vacuum thread. it is perfectly on topic for that.

I would go with an 1/8 in nipple, screw in or weld in is fine. if you use screw it can be changed if needed.

Measure the nip on your wastegate actuator. Get a fitting of the same size or slightly larger. You don't want to bottleneck your wastegate actuator's signal source.

Personally I say **** spending $50 to have some creature make an ugly job out of zapping a fiting onto your nice shiny hotpipe. I bought a brass plumbing fitting at the hardware store and drilled/tapped my compressor outlet elbow for it to thread into. Teflon tape on the threads and a smear of JB weld around the base for good measure and it's A+. You might spend $30 on the tap set but at least you'll have it for the next time you need it.
