Im doing a swap on a s13 Chassis with a s13 redtop SR20Det. Ive read all about the Vacuum lines and it is said that you cant connect the Wastegate into the FPR T nipple. I was wondering why you cant do this?

Also, there is a hose coming from rear of the Intake Manifold, where does this go? Is it a coolant line? I have my heater core removed, so i have no line coming into my firewall. How should i setup my heater hoses properly? What i have done already is with the only 2 outlets(that look like heater heater hoses) coming out be the exhaust side, i connected them with a u pipe. Is this correct? Thank you all for your time, Chris

You want the vac/boost signal line going to the MBC/EBC to be as short as possible. This means right after the compressor housing or on the compressor housing.

If you want to get rid of the heating system yes, you just make a U connect the lines instead of routing them into the firewall. Just thinking of it as the "U" being your "heatercore" then you can kind of imagine how you should have it setup.

As for the line coming out of the intake manifold, there are many. There are coolant lines going to the IACV and two vac lines for brake booster and IACV (atleast on the greddy IM) so if you can get us a pic that would be helpful.

Theres no point in running the wastegate line from the FPR. For one, the FPR line is really small. And two, the line should be as close to the turbo as possible. Anywhere in the hotpipe is the best place. So you understand how the wastegate works. It stays shut by the spring inside the actuator. The boost pressure through the Hotpipe will go through the wastegate line and push the spring to open the wastegate to control the boost.
