ok quick ? I am wondering what is better. I am talking all external WG. So is it beter to have a WG pre turbo you know like comeing strait off the manifold like most external WG setups. Or like mine, a 5 bolt turbine housing with a 3in exghst and another pipe (coming form the hole for an internal WG setup) down to a external WG and back into the exghst. So thees are i gusse both pre turbo but is one better? I recently crack my ****y boost desing mani so i have the option to change my set up so what is better if any.

How about some proper grammar and, a easier to read post.

Cause honestly I did not understand one thing out of this whole post homey.

And I ready like 3 times, and tried to get 2 of my buddies to decipher it.

I read this after it first was posted.........Still can't make it out either.

I think he is asking if an external wastegate can be placed off of the downpipe instead of off the manifold itself --> In that case, nope.

well i am having trouble posting a image so i will try to explain it better

My current set up runs an external WG the input to the WG comes from the hole right next to the turbine exaughst outlet. it is a seprate pipe about an 1 1/4" this gose down to my WG and after the WG back into the exaughst. It uses the same hole that an internal WG would use but all the internal WG parts are gone.

My ? is is that set up better or is the setup where the WG comes from right below the turbo like on the revhard manifold better?

Is there even a differance cause i bought a new manifold and can run either setup. So is one better or is there no differance?

Hope that is better than the first post sorry for the confusion

If his backhousing has the hole for the wastegate he can do it. Usually five bolt flanged turbos will have this hole in the back. you just need to get the five bolt flange and make the hole for the wastegate make some kind of pipe weld the wastegate flange and there you go external wastegate. Let me see if i can make a pic of what im talking about.

This was done on a 4agze-t corrola and worked very well.

bro i already have that done it is my current setup. I bought a new manifold and now have the option of running it either way. I just want to know if one way is better than the other. Thanks though

is the first pic an arial veiw of a skillet with one big egg and one small egg getting fried? Because the second picture looks like a tard getting ready to flip it. I would run it which ever way is easier for you.

Damn man thats messed up lol, I try my hardest to do a pic and I get flamed for it. Lol. I really wouldn't now wich one would be better.

If it was me it would be the one that gets me back on the road the fastest lol.Assuming you setup is already like that just cut it off and weld the flange shut, but you might take a chance of warping the flange.

Get a revhard manifold. Use external wastegate. Eliminate your internal wastegate on your turbo.

If you have the option, plumb the WG off of the manifold directly. Preferably in a way to keep airflow as smooth as possible.
