Wasted one of my stillen upper control arms

just replaced my tokiko bluse which busted after 10k they collapsed then still have squeak bushing popping out of one side of drivers upper controland passenger side smashed.

I find myself trying to avoid potholes all together.

I do think the SPL unit is a superior item. It's really a solid piece of engineering.

The Stillen upper control arms will need to have the bushings replaced on a regular basis. I was changing them at least every year. The good thing is that the bushings are or were available from Stillen for cheap.

I had the Stillen arms for a few years and then finally decided to just use the stock upper links with spacers behind the mounts.

If you spend time reading on teh Z forums, this is the way to go, OR get the SPL ones.

the pos stillen arm was cracked in half rusted and pitted on the inside,the spl knock offs i bought for $189 look beautiful, have some serious weight to them. I should have my car back tomorrow and will update

When you say "cracked in half", are you referring to the poly bushing? If so, then all you had to do was get replacement bushings from Stillen.

But eventually the new ones will also fail, so maybe the SPL copies might work out. Did you actually pay $99 for shipping or am I reading it wrong?

Was wondering if the upper control arms you purchased mount onto the factory mount bracket? I need a set also and was wondering if the quality of the ebay knock offs is decent.

So the SPLs are all adjustable right?

yes the e-bay knock offs are solid. they bolt up and give the same adjustability as the spl i do not know how they will hold up over time. i just did not have the luxury to wait for the spl to be off back order

staY AWAY FROM THE STILLENS the e-bay ones seem real solid, and they are $208 w/ shipping and have one more degree of adjustability (that u will need) than the stillens

I'm not understanding you entirely. Are you saying if you get the adjustable uppers you need adjustable tension rods?
