wastegate install, hi i got this waste gate and the direction that came with it says that the vacume line on it needs to be hooked up before the trottle plate? is this right.

right now i got my fmu getting a vacume from the fpr vacume, whould i use the vacume port on the turbo for the waste gate.

If you want it to open at exactly what the spring is set to you can put it off the manifold, if you just want simplicity and not have to run a vacuum line across the top of the motor you can run it off the nipple that should be on your compressor housing, but usually this will mean you will see less boost than the spring is set at due to pressure drop through the system.

hmm cool so it is safe to run it to a line after the trottle plate. which would be a line from the TB. and how much boost do i lose due to pressure drop.

i run my wastegate off the FPR line alogn with my bov, msd btm, and boost gauge

The bottom, which is the inlet. It seals that plunger...

And just so you know, the vacuum/boost reference line goes to the side port ONLY without an EBC. Leave the top port open

If you use an MBC you still only use the side port.
