Okay, last night as it was getting dark, I decided to add some more Rain X bug wash windshield wiper fluid to my car. But, I was somewhat in a hurry (ready to go out to dinner) and was not paying close attention. I added about 16 or 20 + ounces of the bug wash fluid to my darn coolant overflow bottle. Then I realized, holy s&@#, thats the coolant overflow tank! Well, I haven't started it up or anything since then, so I was wondering if it'd be cool if I turkey basted the coolant overflow tank out? The car was cold when I did this, so hopefully non of that bug wash went through the engine. Or, will I have to drain the whole radiator and coolant bottle? I know, I deserve a huge ash whipping for not paying attention.

Drain overflow tank, flush, refill & go enjoy a drive.

Last year I pumped 13gal. gasoline into the holding tank of 31' Contender. Now thats a bad thing.

Like the cap't said, just drain the overflow and you'll be fine.

Don't beat yourself up-making mistakes is the best way to learn. Only Maxnix and Tech don't make mistakes.

The tank is pretty easy to remove - so I would get it out of the car and flush it out... not just turkey baster it. If that's the worst thing you do this year - you're in good shape!

Just stick a garden hose in opening and flush for 60 seconds, then siphon out and replace with 50/50 coolant..... no need to remove anything and you will be done in 2 minutes

Thanks everybody for the great ideas. I'll probably just remove and dump.

Yes, and only distilled water for collant dilutant, if required.

You should just flush and refill the system anyway.

I don't know what I was spazzing about, that was so easy, just two 10mm bolts and a hose clamp and dump and flush. The hardest part was reinstalling my homemade battery hold down.
