97 J30 window washer does not work. Wipers work but no fluid will pump. Where is pump located?

Belts squeal on startup, once warm they are quiet.

Any ideas?

Belt age, tension, worn pulleys? In what condition are they? Do the pulleys spin freely?

I have the same problem. i got some belt dressing and put that on there, the noise has greatly been reduced and now ONLY squeaks on very cold starts. Im going to re-apply the dressing and see if it works any better. If not, the belt may not be fitted correctly. The Dressing costs less than 5 bucks so it's probably worth checking out. Otherwise could be just worn down, or wrong size.

As far as the washers are concerned, most likely just the discharge nozzles are clogged with mineral deposits, etc.. Mix up a mild solution of vinegar and water. Use this mildy acidic solution and an old toothbrush to clean the disharge nozzles. Any Lime-Away type product will work as well. Be sure and wipe any solution from paint when done. Certainly worth trying before R&R of pump. Mine clog frequently from lack of use.
