I did a load of dark clothes 3 days before, could not find since.
wife found it at bottom of washing machine this morning.

I have a Kenmore/Sears 1996 vintage top load washer. I used 2 wash cycles, cold water on
14 minute timer, set on fast agitation. Color safe Clorox bleach & 10x concentrated Tide detergent.

I went pale when she gave me the FOB.

I opened it up immediately, and disassembled the contents, concerned as the FOB has been compromised in the past years after a few battery change outs.
Shockingly surprised that only a few droplets of water were scattered around. I used alcohol & a few q tips to clean up, then gently dried out the pieces in my toaster oven set on super low.

Of course, the piece de resistance is that it worked fine after re-assembly!
Dodged a bullet on this one....happy to still have both FOBS!
