wash my car and it dies!!!! wtf!?

Hey guys this has gone on for a year now so i have been washing it and waiting for about an hour then it will run fine, but this is what happens

I just simply was my car then go to start it and it will idle great but as soon as i try to give it gas it boggs down and dies. any idea?

its a 91 240sx with a s13 redtop

Make sure you arent covering your air filter with water and make it vapor lock. and make sure you arent getting water in your distributor.
