I've had my car for a few weeks and it got snowed on over the weekend. I haven't gotten paint sealant done yet. To what extent can I wash it?

You don't need sealant or anything of the sort. You can start washing your car as of day 1 of ownership, and most people recommend that you wait a few months before waxing it, but with newer cars and paint jobs, it isn't much a factor anymore.

Get that a/c clean!

Well, make sure all of that salt is off the roadways. Otherwise you will have just wasted your time. It just snowed like 1 inch here in southeast PA, and i swear that penndot put just as much salt on the road as how much snow there was on it.

In areas where salt is used extensively, the best thing you can do is wash the car as often as possible. I go to a touch-free car wash that has an underbody wash too. I wash it at least twice a week now that the snow has set in and the salt is in use (I live in a snow belt). It may not look clean for very long but frequent removal of the salt helps reduce its corrosive effect over time.

Tell Rendell to send the salt up where we need (West and NE PA)..then again Philly drivers aren't so good in the snow and ice, Surekill doesn't help either, ok, keep it,

Take your car to the dealership and pretend like it has some problems. They have free car wash whenever you take your car to them. I do that like once every month and it works. lol

Shouldn't be a problem at all to wash it. What color did you purchase? It's always my recommendation to get your wodn coat of wax on the car soon after purchasing. They do a prep and quick wax and most dealerships but I don't believe it to be sufficient (at least to my standards).

Waxing your car right after purchase may or may not be fine. It dependson how long ago the parts were painted. If you got it straight from the factory...I might wait 2 weeks for the paint to harden up a bit more. Waxon new paint can turn it cloudy on dark colors.

If you have light colors or the car has been on the lot for a couple weeks...you're fine. Wax away. Wax often.
